A chilled and uplifting mix for the “laziest of Sundays” from UK producer George FitzGerald.
Much like his Not As I EP, released in June via Domino, the set finds FitzGerald calling upon fellow music-makers with a similarly distinct and immersive slant on dance music. Featuring the title track from that EP alongside a link-up with recent Lana Del Rey collaborator SYML, it also plays host to new songs from Sampha, Róisín Murphy and Burial. But that’s just part of the story – there’s also tunes from King Krule, Anthony Naples and more to ease you through the end of the week.
“It’s a rainy, English summer’s day as I record this, and I have a latent feeling I should be doing something out there, but I won’t,” says FitzGerald. “Some new, some old, mostly electronic, all tinged with the right amount of wistfulness to make the time pass more comfortably.”
