Green-House make music that is pertiently attuned to the natural world. A project founded by LA-based artist Olive Ardizoni, who’s joined by long-time collaborator Michael Flanagan, the duo’s exquisite eco-ambient incantations are brimming with life and offer an unhurried space within which to reflect on our relationship with our surroundings – as on their latest release, A Host For All Kinds of Life.
Recently, the duo has also started taking on DJ gigs. “It’s been interesting to see how people respond to ambient music in real time,” they explain, “without having to focus on making the sounds yourself, you pick up a lot more of the subtle and not-so-subtle effects of how sound affects crowd behaviour.”
This perception feeds into their Sunday mix here, which they say “is a collection of environmental, ambient and library tracks that we’ve been spinning anytime we can.” Press play for cosy and transcendent listening.
