Today, we have Klein Zage on Sunday Mix duties – providing a dreamy and introspective soundtrack.
This mix comes just after the New York-based artist’s new release on Rhythm Section with longtime friend and collaborator Joey G ii. Entitled New Cross to Ridgewood, the EP is inspired by the pair’s time living together in south London and sees Zage’s characteristically incisive, playful lyrics and vocal delivery combine with ethereal electronics and skittering, pared-back beats.
Zage describes her mix – which features serpentwithfeet, ANOHNI & the Johnsons, ML Buch and Tirzah – as “a selection of tracks I’ve been gravitating to of late. Recorded live on a very rainy, very moody London morning, coffee in hand, designed to help gently ease me out the house.”
