Marshall Vincent’s music is both theatrical and intimate; the aural equivalent of a captivating show, or a tear-jerking play, performed only to you.
On past releases, including October’s glorious In No Particular Order EP, the Berlin-based singer and producer sought inspiration from an array of influences spanning electronic music through to R&B, folk and more orchestral, classical sounds. His stirring instrumentals are made all the more poignant by his haunting voice and candid songwriting.
In this 80-minute entry into our Sunday Mix series, Vincent dreamily sails through a selection of tender tracks fit to soundtrack weekend ruminations. Speaking on the mix over email, Vincent says: “I think it’s easier to U-turn than to look back… especially on a Sunday with empty sidewalks, but open windows. I can’t say more about this mix besides the fact that I hope your ex-lovers don’t listen, but your current ones do.”
