LA’s Sae Heum Han – AKA mmph – is the latest artist to guide us through our weekly relaxation ritual.
April 2023 saw the release of Harvest – the sound designer and composer’s first release in five years; the follow-up to 2018’s Serenade EP for Tri Angle Records. Released via Shanghai-based label SVBKVLT, the project came accompanied by a trio of remixes from labelmates ABADIR, NET GALA and Yen Tech.
Meanwhile his Sunday Mix, which is gentle in parts, wiggy in others and stirring throughout, features music by Marina Herlop, Holy Other and Malibu. That’s alongside some unreleased teasers from the LA-based composer himself – stay tuned ‘til the end for those, you won’t want to miss.
“Often, it’s difficult to get out of bed on a Sunday,” says mmph on the set. “This mix compiles music I’ve recently been listening to that helps with that process. From old favourites to recent discoveries and unreleased material from me and my friends, these are the sounds that excite me to get dressed and ready.”
