Some DJs pride themselves on unearthing the strangest sounds available, an ethos where excavation is the sole USP. Others search out these sounds, but it’s how they play them that’s compelling – it isn’t until your totally lost in the mix that you clock the peculiarity of what you’re dancing to.

Parisian DJ Zaltan falls into the latter bracket. At Crack Magazine, we follow his shows and attend his sets religiously as we know that we’ll be introduced to alien sounds which invariably get us moving. We’re extremely excited to be hosting an all-night-long set from Zaltan on 23 March at Amsterdam’s Garage Noord, and we’re poised to fawn over un-Shazzamable oddities.

In anticipation of the party, we invited Zaltan to put together a mix for us. Testament to his affinity for the unfamiliar, he’s delivered 64 minutes of shapeshifting electronic rarities that exist solely outside of genre parameters. Turn it up and get lost.
