In 1916, the Dadaist writer Hugo Ball formed Zurich’s legendary Cabaret Voltaire club as an avant-garde hub for cabaret and anarchic art. The venue would also host poetry evenings, during which verse would be recited in different languages simultaneously.

Taking inspiration from Dadaism and the Caberet Voltaire, Savages and Bo Ningen have joined forces for Words to the Blind, a 40 minute collaborative piece of noise, punk and spoken-word poetry that’s muttered in both French and Japanese. For the second time, the two bands took to a U-shaped stage in order to face each other and perform the piece under stark spotlighting.
