Only so many times can you rub your eyes before you must believe what you see or go blind. When a line-up is announced that joins the forces of Kapsize, Goon Club, Terrorhythm and LuckyMe, you know it’s not going to be any old Tuesday.

Setting an acute pace with the grime and future sounds he has so profoundly progressed throughout the years, the bass encyclopaedia that is Plastician dropped vintage Plastic Man remixes crossed with an abundance of energetic Terrorhythm releases. Celebrating the recent success of his own sophomore album, Joker then shelled a collage of the heavy but soulful sounds that define The Mainframe, with his unique style creating mayhem on the dancefloor as he overlooked the crowd with that ‘FIFA Clash’ game face of his.

With the bar neglected and smoking area spacious, Spaceboy then handed the baton to Rustie, who stepped into to frame behind a three-dimensional lighting display, further enhancing the synesthesia-inducing quality of recent album Green Language. In unison, we all put on the glasses given at the entrance and submitted to an awesome multi-sensual experience that took us on a journey from After Light to Raptor and all in-between.

Far from a half-hearted excuse to get wasted, this was an adventurous line-up to be appreciated. The only thing that beat the sounds, the unified atmosphere and elation on each raver’s face was seeing the chemistry between the performers, suggesting backstage conversions brimming with mutual respect.
