We’re nearly in autumn now, and – let’s be honest – you’re probably going to be able to see your breath in your flat soon. And while it wasn’t intentional, parts of this month’s playlist have kind of made it feel like a final summer blowout mix. Chicago rappers Lil Herb, Common and Chance The Rapper reflect on the city’s troubles over a sweaty beat, Wu-Tang criminologist Raekwon swaps gritty boom-bap for a white trousers-and-piña-colada vibe while sun-kissed new tracks are provided by the likes of Montreal band TOPS, Tevo Howard, James Pants and the excellently-named Fat Creeps.
