According to his website, the Dalai Lama is set to appear at next year’s Glastonbury festival
Tibetan Buddhism’s head monk will apparently be speaking at Worthy Farm on Sunday 28 June.
A post on dalailama.com stated “His Holiness will give a talk at the Glastonbury Festival in the morning” but it has since been removed. The Dalai Lama will, however, be in England at the time of the festival as he is set to give a talk at Kempton Racecourse the next day, so it is likely that the post was genuine.
Last year, the Dalai Lama’s tibetan monks performed at the festival and, as FACT point out, it is possible that Glastonbury Festival have asked the Dalai Lama to keep the details of his appearance quiet, as the rest of line-up has not yet been fully announced.
