Pharrell is going to be in ‘The Simpsons’

Pharrell Williams is set to appear in the 26th series of The Simpsons. That’s a picture of the cartoon Williams above.

The episode is called Walking Big & Tall, and is based on a true story of when a Milwaukee TV station hired a composer to make the city an official anthem, only to find out later that he’d sold it to many other cities. In The Simpsons episode, Springfield finds out that its official theme tune is being used elsewhere, and so Williams offers to write the town a new one.

Williams’ joins a long list of high-profile Simpsons cameos that includes The White Stripes, 50 Cent, The Ramones, REM, Sleater Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein, Lady Gaga, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, Cyprus Hill, The Decemberists and the reclusive author Thomas Pynchon – whose privacy was very much respected with his animated portrayal.
