Undeterred by an underwhelming, on-times bewildering launch, the Tidal exclusives slowly but surely keep coming with the arrival of a fifty minute, all-black Western, starring Erykah Badu.
They Die By Dawn also features the likes of Rosario Dawson, Jesse Williams, Isaiah Washington, and the honey-nut fiend himself, Michael K Williams. “In a town with no rules, four outlaws play a deadly game” announced Badu on her Facebook wall.
The film-service sees Tidal make efforts to further distinguish itself from Spotify. Up until now, the film itself has been an illusive entity, with trailers appearing online as early as 2012, but followed up with little online presence.
Curiously there seems to be some confusion around London-born Idris Elba’s involvement. Despite some trailers and internet rumours suggesting Williams’ Wire co-star would also feature, there’s no sign of him in either the trailer or the feature poster. You can watch the trailer below.
