Laurel Halo & Sharon Van Etten feature on unreleased Karen Dalton

Hyperdub mainstay Laurel Halo and Brooklynite singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten are among the names featuring on a compilation of unheard songs by the oft maligned folk-blues legend Karen Dalton.

Unused lyrics written by the singer were released to label Tompkins Square by friend and guitarist Peter Walker. Halo and others will bring the songs to life, in line with their own styles.

As the label point out, Dalton recorded just two albums in her lifetime, neither of which contained any original material. The record is due for release 27 May on Tompkins Square. See the track-list below.
