Drag City may be putting out Jim O’Rourke’s first album in six years, following the release of a teaser video via their Twitter.
Entitled Simple Songs, it doesn’t give much away, but a forty-one dollar pre-order on Amazon suggests this may be the real deal. However there’s been no official word from the label as of yet.
Tiny Mix Tapes are suggesting that Japan may see a release on 26 May via P-Vine, and that the record itself may be Jim’s long-rumoured orchestral pop effort, supposedly ten-years-in-the-making.
