News broke last night of the Antichrist Superstar getting boxed in an Alberta chain of the all-hours pancake house.
The exact circumstances remain unclear. Alberta police confirmed a disturbance at the restaurant, but no charges were pressed and no individuals identified. Initial reports suggested the singer had become embroiled in an argument with a neighbouring table, calling one woman ‘a bitch’, at which point the boyfriend got involved, punching Manson in the face.
But according to Stereogum, the singer is claiming the attack was entirely unprovoked, with the assailant coming out of nowhere shortly after Manson agreed to a selfie with two fans. This may not be over – the singer says he’ll be returning to Alberta to press charges, along with his make-up artist, who they allege was also elbowed in the face.
