Lanza’s collaboration with the Teklife stalwarts gets a new video.
Canadian producer and singer Jessy Lanza recently teamed up with footwork artists DJ Spinn and Taso for the track You Never Show Me Love, which was premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last week.
You Never show Me Love is an airy RnB track with Lanza’s vocals at the forefront, and while it’s a lot mellower than what’s often expected from the Teklife camp, Spinn and Taso make their unmistakable stamp with fluttering hi-hats and intricate drum patterns. You can now watch the video for the track below.
On 24 July, Hyperdub will release You Never Show Me Love as an extended play which will include a re-work of the track featuring the late DJ Rashad as well as a remix of Lanza’s track Fuck Diamond by Parisian producer Bambounou. You’ll be able to purchase it here.
