Simple Things announce Sleaford Mods documentary screening

The “part band doc, part look at the state of the nation” will be showing at the Cube Microplex

Sleaford Mods have had a big year. Whilst the UK continues to barrel down the path of austerity, their po-faced, politically-charged brand of gallows humour has never felt more relevant, and the release of their landmark LP Key Markets saw them crop up everywhere from the front cover of Crack to Later With Jools Holland.

As the duo toured the country this year, filmmaker and director Paul Sng followed them on the road, combining raw live footage of the band with interviews featuring the communities and individuals doing their level best to resist the daily pressures of vicious ideologically-driven cuts. The resultant shots were compiled into Invisible Britain.

On Wednesday 27 January the team behind Simple Things have organised a screening of Invisible Britain at the intimate Cube cinema.

Tickets are available now via Crack Tickets.
