Convergence LDN add Jonny Greenwood, Dan Deacon and more

Jonny Greenwood and Shye Ben Tzur will perform Junun with the Rajasthan Express

Convergence is one of London’s most forward thinking multi-venue event series. Each year they invite cutting edge artists from across the musical spectrum to play in some of London’s most vaunted music venues including Roundhouse,​ T​roxy,​ KOKO and Village Underground.

This year they have invited Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and Israeli compose Shye Ben Tzur to the Barbican for the first ever full-length performance of their experimental album​ Junun​. The album took the pair to India to work with the Rajasthan Express, an traditional Indian band, who will be joining them for their Convergence set.

They have also announced a plethora of new additions to the line-up including experimental mainstay Dan Deacon, noise stalwarts Nurse With Wound, analogue techno frontrunners Factory Floor, Anna von Hausswolff, Colin Stetson, Shit Robot, Karen Gwyer, Kara­-Lis Coverdale and Simbiosi.

Also announced is Pieces of a Man: The Gil Scott-Heron Project featuring the project’s Musical Director Dave Okumu of The Invisible and guest vocalists Kwabs, Jamie Woon, Nadine Shah, Loyle Carner and Gwilym Gold.
