Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry documentary to screen in the UK

The partially-animated film follows Perry to his home country of Jamaica

Although he’s the grand old age of eighty this year, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, as a new film proves, has definitely still got it. Filmed over fifteen years, Vision of Paradise follows him and his variously-coloured beard all the way to his home country of Jamaica, to live sets, and deep into the dub pioneer’s past.

Even the trailer to the film is a joy, and a welcome far cry from the dejected Perry we saw last year after his ‘secret laboratory’ burnt down.
