Off Festival announce more names

Katowice’s forward-thinking boutique music festival adds more acts to the bill

Today GusGus, Brodka, Clutch, Daniel Avery and Flatbush Zombies confirmed that they will all be appearing at Poland’s Off Festival.

Electronic music veterans GusGus started out in 1995 and have nine studio albums behind them. They’ll be adding a combination of “house, trip-hop, techno, and nu-jazz” to the proceedings.

Polish singer Brodka rose to fame as the winner of the third season of Polish Pop Idol. Far from following a prescriptive pop route, she’s bucked trends with her chart-topping alt-rock.

Self-proclaimed electronic music outsider Daniel Avery has earned a reputation as a master of leftfield dance music. As a DJ on Rinse FM and a fabric resident, he redefined ‘indie’ DJing, reinforcing his expertise with the excellent Drone Logic in 2014. See our feature here.

Clutch at first glance look like mildly terrifying rock dudes with beards – but listen closely and you’ll detect a bluesy feel. Rock ‘n’ roll to the core, they’ll be showcasing their vast back catalogue.

Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, and Erick “Arc” Elliott are Flatbush Zombies. Their past collaborators include A$AP Rocky, Action Bronson, Skepta, and Joey Bada$$, and their debut album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey, is one of the most highly anticipated hip-hop records of the year.
