Surgeon’s seventh album From Farthest Known Objects will drop on 29 January
UK techno veteran Anthony Child aka Surgeon is set to return with a brand new album this month. The Birmingham-based producer has said that the album has been influenced by cosmic happenings saying he used “old and unlikely hardware” to “tune into transmissions from Distant Galaxies.”
He has also collaborated with astrophysicist and guitarist Dr Andrew Read who helped Child to identify the origins of the intergalactic transmissions and the album’s seemingly bizarre track titles like EGS-zs8-1 are actually the names of the galaxies from which the tracks originated.
We’ll just have to take their word for it.
