Gosha Rubchinskiy reveals AW16 film and lookbook

Watch the Russian designer’s ‘post-Soviet skatewear’ come to life

Gosha Rubchinskiy has unveiled his AW16 lookbook via Dazed alongside a video that follows his young, streetcast models as they prepare to walk the collection through a murky smoke in Paris.

The collection pulls on the two references the designer has become known for: subculture (skater-style hoodies can be seen in the collection next to punk hairstyles and skinheads) and his Russian roots (Cyrillic script is used heavily, stitched into jumpers, scarves and printed onto t-shirts). Beanies, braces and belts are also in attendance alongside double-cuffed sweatshirts and tracksuits.
