Chance the Rapper pays tribute to Muhammad Ali on new song

Chance the Rapper’s latest song features an excerpt from a 1977 interview with the late boxer Muhammad Ali

What better way to close last night’s ESPY awards than a humbling tribute to Muhammad Ali, the legendary boxer who passed away on 3 June this year. Chance the Rapper’s new, untitled song did just that.

Chance took the opportunity to end his set at the Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards last night with a touching tribute to Ali with a new song that samples a a 1977 interview with the late boxer.

“It was an honor. Rest in peace Muhammad Ali. He is in a much better place,” The rapper Tweeted this morning. You can watch a video of Chance performing the song in the player below.
