Check out Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe’s White House show

Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe were invited to perform at president Barack Obama’s 4 July barbecue last night

When you’re the president of the United States and it’s your country’s birthday you can pretty much invite anyone you want round for a private gig. Last night Barack Obama did just that.

This year the POTUS chose Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe as his musical guests and the pair put on a show that included Kendrick’s Poetic Justice, Money Trees, Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe, Alright, Swimming Pools and How Much A Dollar Cost, there was a Prince tribute from Monáe and the pair even found the time to sing happy birthday to Malia Obama.
