E! Reports that the late singer’s ashes were scattered during a 70-person ceremony at the Nevada festival’s temple structure
E! have revealed that on 11 September David Bowie’s godchild was given permission from his widow Iman to take some of the singer’s ashes to Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert.
A source close to Bowie’s family told E! that “David’s godchild and David had long talks about Burning Man and what it stands for, and David loved the message behind it.”
At a ceremony taking place in the festival’s Temple structure around 70 attendees painted their faces with Bowie’s familiar lightning bolt design as the ashes were scattered.
