Shelter is a new 700 cap club space for Amsterdam

It opens 20 October with a four-part programme for ADE including Jackmaster, Moodymann, Clone Records, DJ Stngray, Semantica and Joris Voorn

Shelter is the brainchild of three pillars of the Amsterdam scene involved in Club AIR, Club Trouw, LET and Deep House Amsterdam. It’s found on the banks of the IJ river opposite the city centre, underneath Overhoeksplein square, and will play host to up to 700 party goers.

Organisers have said its musical identity will be laid out over the course of its four-part programme during Amsterdam Dance Event. For the first of these on Thursday 20 October Jackmaster hosts Moodymann, Tom Trago and others. Clone Records take the reigns for the second night with founder Serge, joined by Stingray, I-F, Legowelt and Project Pablo. On Saturday they invite Madrid’s Semantica, along with Voices From The Lake and more from the deeper side of electronica. Wrapping it all up is Dutch Master Joris Voorn.
