Icelandic art space Mengi launch Pop Up in Berlin

The art and music project focuses on the crossover between Reykjavik and Berlin and takes place at the Felleshus in association with the Icelandic Embassy

Mengi, the three year old art space in Óðinsgata in Reykjavik has been carved out it’s own experimental scene since its inception, giving a platform for artists straddling the breadth the artistic spectrum including music, film, poetry, performance, theatre and visual arts.

The three month programme focuses on the artistic relationship between Reykjavik and Berlin, showcasing artists that have frequented Mengi since it opened and those Icelandic artists who have made their home in Berlin. These include the likes of Ólöf Arnalds, Skúli Sverrisson, Saumur, Hildur Guðnadóttir. There will also be live film scoring, workshops and more.

The new pop-up is hosted in Felleshus in association with The Embassy of Iceland in Berlin.
