Paris venue Le Bataclan to reopen one year after attacks

The iconic Paris venue Le Bataclan will open its doors once more on Wednesday 16 November

On 13 November 2015 tragedy forced the Paris venue Le Bataclan to close its doors. The venue was a target of a series of organised terrorist attacks which took place across the French capital and resulted in the deaths of 130 people.

When the venue reopens on 16 November it will be just three days after the first anniversary of the attacks. The club’s reopening nights will see British musician Pete Doherty play two consecutive shows on 16 + 17 November and he’ll be followed by Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour on 18 and 19 November.

Other artists set to play at the venue shortly after it reopens include Laurent Garnier, Voiron B2B Gordon and Arnaud Rebotini.
