The auction is due to take place at Sotheby’s on New Bond Street, London

More than 100 pieces from David Bowie’s celebrated collection of art and furniture are due to go on sale at Sotheby’s next month. The late musician was an avid collector of fine art and furniture. His collection includes several pieces from Milan-based design collective The Memphis Group, a selection of modern artists including Marcel Duchamp, Damien Hirst and Jean-Michel Basquiat as well as a range of pieces by post-war British sculptors including Henry Moore, William Turnbull, Eduardo Paolozzi and Kenneth Armitage.

The auction is due to take place on 11 November at Sotheby’s on New Bond Street in London with some pieces expected to reach over £1 million.The auctioneers will also hold an exhibition of the pieces from 1 – 10 November.
