Glastonbury detail 2017 Emerging Talent Competition

Glastonbury Festival have announced detailed plans for their Emerging Talent Competition (ETC).

The competition will give new UK and Ireland-based acts the chance to play a slot on one of the main stages at the iconic event.

A £5,000 Talent Development prize from PRS Foundation will also be awarded to the winner. Two runners-up will also be awarded a £2,500 each.

Speaking about the competition, Emily Eavis said, “New music is at the very heart of what we do here at Glastonbury. The Emerging Talent Competition has become such an important way for us to find the next wave of talent from across the genres, and then help to shine a light on it. I’m really excited to hear this year’s entries.”

Acts can enter the 2017 competition from 9AM on Monday 30 January until 5PM on Monday 6 February 2017 via glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.
