Following the news that his debut album, Gang Signs and Prayer will drop on 24 February, Stormzy sat down with Beats 1 anchor (and star of his new music video) Julie Adenuga to discuss his upcoming debut.
They covered gospel influences, charting prospects, video locations and much more. Stormzy also spoke about his relationship with longtime producer Fraser T Smith who produced his new single Big For Your Boots along with Sir Spyro.
Speaking about his prolonged absence from social media, Stormzy said, “It was just something I needed to do.” He likened the break to Frank Ocean’s presence, “Frank’s just in a studio somewhere chilling.”
