Watch: Skepta drops his new video for ‘No Security’

The British grime MC dances with mannequins, old white men, and in a room of awards for his new clip, No Security

Following his performance at the Brit awards, Skepta dropped a video for No Security today. The track was released on Halloween last year.

The clip walks through a series of scenes where the artist dances in a puddle with a red umbrella, in a room filled with awards, a space with walls plastered in newsprint and an eerie candlelit room which sets the scene for the musician’s lines on voodoo. The MC spits about ‘enemies’ who ‘talk about me over food and wine / the fucking snakes’ whilst dancing on a table surrounded by old men.

He also raps, ‘At the awards, intoxicated / the most nominated / and the dress code is understated’, following on from his three nominations at the Brit awards for British Male Solo, Best British Breakthrough and British Album of the Year for the 2016 release Konnichiwa. Skepta lost Best British Breakthrough to Sussex artist Rag’n’Bone Man – which led to an internet backlash – and lost British Male Solo to David Bowie.
