Kanye to release new Yeezy trainers next month

The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2’s will be getting a new look

The Atlanta-born rapper has announced that he’ll be releasing a new brand of Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 trainers on 29 April. It’s not yet been clarified as to whether this will be a limited run or a general release, but they’ll be available in both adult and kids sizes.

The silhouette will be updated to a “cream white” version, featuring a white Boost midsole and a white Primeknit upper with the signature SPLY-350 stripes on the side.

The rapper’s venture into fashion has been a tumultuous one in terms of reception. While his influence in music has garnered him international attention as a designer, the Yeezy shows – and season four in particular – have been hugely controversial. However, whatever you think of the Yeezy seasonal shows, the trainers have, in the past, inspired queues of fans to camp outside stores overnight.

Last month (February), fans began camping outside a shoe store in Nottingham four days before the release of West‘s new Yeezy trainers.
