David Lynch, Kyle MacLachlan and the late Miguel Ferrer make an appearance in the new spooky teaser

In anticipation of its return on 21 May, another new trailer has been rolled out for the third season of Twin Peaks. The mysterious clip glimpses the new plotline, and features faces both old and new.

David Lynch reprises his role as Gordon Kyle and can be seen shouting, “Albert!” in the trailer, while Kyle MacLachlan’s FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper also makes an appearance. Other familiar faces include Agent Albert Rosenfield played by the late Miguel Ferrer, receptionist Lucy Moran and Andy Brennan.

There’s also a cast of new characters played by Jessica Szohr, Melissa Bailey, Gia Carides and Nicole LaLiberte.

Created by David Lynch, the cult TV show first aired in the 90s, and is set to make its comeback after 16 years with a two-hour premiere on US station Showtime. Watch the trailer in the player above.

In other recent news, a 3D art installation bringing the Red Room to life was recently launched. It’ll run at the Brooklyn Academy of Music until 13 May, before moving on to Portland’s Voodoo Doughnut Too (18-20 May) and LA’s Autry Museum (25-27 May) as part of EatSeeHear Festival.
