The tracks are from his forthcoming compilation The Sound Of Mercury Rising
Last month (July), DJ Harvey announced his new compilation The Sound Of Mercury Rising. Today, Pikes Records have revealed that a 12-inch vinyl sampler is due to be released on 15 September, and it’ll include four tracks from the upcoming compilation before it’s out.
The tracks are by Tony Esposito, Tore, Elkin & Nelson, Van McCoy & Soul City Symphony.
On the compilation, the revered DJ said via a press statement: “Each track on this compilation have been features of my sets/program/night Mercury Rising at Pikes over the last three seasons.”
“On numerous occasions during these nights people would plead for track lists, mixes and CDs so in conjunction with my Pikes family we have created a new record label as a way not only to fulfil this need, but with broader aspirations for the future,” he explained.
The artist has been confirmed for all-night sets at Mercury Rising, from 7 August to 25 September at Pikes Hotel, Ibiza.
