Club music’s foremost agitator is set to release the EP this September
Zomby has announced the forthcoming EP Gasp!, due out on 8 September via Big Dada, and accompanying the announcement is the release of the title track. His last album was 2016’s Ultra.
Comprised of three tracks, the new EP – which will see the artist propel his jungle-driven sound forward – was recorded live using analogue equipment. In a press statement, Zomby said, “I was tired of too much digitisation and over-saturation; this is a work that represents a shift forward for me”.
According to the press release, sonically the EP lies somewhere between “a chugging steel factory and a darkened dancefloor”.
