Tall Ships announce breakup and final shows

The Brighton-based indie band will be playing their last farewell gigs in December

Tall Ships have published a statement online announcing their split. Having first formed in Falmouth, in 2008, the group have since released two EPs and two LPs over the course of nine years. Their last full-length album is 2017’s Impressions, which was released in February via FatCat Records.

Their statement reads: “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for gifting us with your attention and your time that has enabled us to have these amazing few years together.”

“We are privileged to have shared it with you, to have played all the shows we have, and had the experiences we’ve had.”

The band will be playing three farewell shows in Bristol, Leeds and London. According to their online post, tickets will go on sale this Friday (29 September), at 9am (BST).
