Missy Elliott throws it back to the 90s in incredible Hip Hop Honors performance

She performed her 1999 single She’s A Bitch

Last night’s Hip Hop Honors had the theme ‘The 90’s Game Changers’ and, fittingly, Missy Elliott stole the show with her 1999 debut single She’s A Bitch. 

Dressed in an all black look, complete with body paint and jewels, her performance was a throwback to the dark visuals of the Hype Williams-directed video that accompanied the single upon its release.

Beginning her performance by emerging from under water, Missy Elliott said on Twitter, “I was underwater 4 8 seconds I think”

“my make up & bald head took 7 hours to put on 2 & a half 2 take off! I had to use powder to get in suit”
