2017 has been good to Cardi B
Cardi B’s hit track Bodak Yellow has been inescapable this year. First, Beyoncé said she was a fan of Cardi B, and now, cementing Bodak Yellow‘s status as a standout banger of 2017, it’s been incorporated into Janet Jackson’s State of the World tour. Videos have surfaced online of the icon dancing to a segment of Bodak Yellow, which has been spliced into Jackson’s 1986 track What Have You Done For Me Lately.
Reposting the video onto her Instagram, Cardi B said, “I really can’t even believe this .Its soo surreal .Like ommmmmmmgggg son this the type of shit you dream about .Thank you Janet Jackson for showing Bodak Yellow some love.Im so happy .”
Recently, Cardi B made an appearance at Rihanna’s Diamond Ball. She’s also been nominated for nine awards for this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards, including Single of the Year and Best New Hip-Hop Artist. Her forthcoming album is due to be released in October.
