Wild Beasts announce split

Domino Records’ Wild Beasts announced they are ending the project this morning (25 September) via a short statement on Twitter.

The band – who released their most recent album Boy King last year – are disbanding after 15 years of writing and performing. Wild Beasts are made up of Hayden Thorpe, Ben Little, Chris Talbot and Tom Fleming who all signed the statement shared on the band’s Twitter.

Their 2008 album Two Dancers was nominated for the Mercury Prize. In the statement, the four members thanked fans for their “love and energy” before promising announcements tomorrow morning (26 September) for some final celebrations.

Confirming the split, the statement reads, “The four of us have decided, for our own reasons and in our own ways, that it is now time to leave this orbit.”
