Watch the moonlit, tunnel-vision video for Demian Licht’s Crimen

We’re excited to be premiering a new video from Mexican producer Demian Licht.

Crimen is lifted from the artist and Motus label boss’ Female Criminals Vol. 2 release – a gloomy showcase of her penchant for dark, arresting techno sounds. Licht is an Ableton Certified Trainer, the only woman in Latin America with the qualification and her skilfulness as a producer comes to the fore on this cut. The video is produced by Licht and directed by upcoming Mexican director Ricardo Soto.

Conceptually, the piece is framed around Carl Jung’s concept of ‘Animus’ which is explained in a press release with the following Jung quote, “‘Animus – Anima’ are the two primary anthropomorphic archetype concepts of the unconscious mind. They can be identified as the totality of the unconscious feminine psychological qualities that a man possesses or the masculine ones possessed by a woman, respectively.”
