Portico Quartet announce new tour dates

The Mercury Prize-nominated band have announced a run of shows, including a second Berlin date at Lido on 27 April 2018.

This month, Portico Quartet helmed a sold out show at Berlin’s Radialsystem V. The four-piece outfit will be hitting up major cities in Germany next year – such as Hamburg (28 April) and Munich (10 May) – and also Vienna (11 May).

Mixing influences of jazz, trip hop and electronica with ambience and minimalism, the east London outfit have a cinematic sound that’s hard to define.

Last year, the group downsized to a trio and released the album Living Fields on Ninja Tune. They’ve since followed up with a release this year on Manchester’s Gondwana Records, entitled Art in the Age of Automation. For their 2017 album, they’ve reunited with composer Keir Vine.
