PJ Harvey has contributed a new track to the UK trailer for Dark River.
The song is a cover of the English folk song An Acre of Land. A review by Variety, published in September, revealed that the artist had created her own interpretation of the song.
Dark River is Clio Barnard’s third feature film starring Ruth Wilson and Mark Stanley. The drama tells the story of two estranged siblings reuniting after the death of their father. However, their reunion is marred by an inheritance dispute, as the protagonist, Alice (Ruth Wilson), attempts to claim the family land as rightfully hers. The film is out in cinemas on 23 February.
Earlier this year, PJ Harvey released the tracks A Dog Called Money and I’ll Be Waiting. Her last release was a collaboration with Ramy Essam, entitled The Camp.
