SHAPE platform announce Pan Daijing, Vladimir Ivkovic, JASSS and more for 2018

SHAPE, a platform for innovative music and audiovisual art from Europe, has announced the artists joining its roster for 2018.

Among the 48 artists who are set to join the initiative are Berlin-based noise artist Pan Daijing, Italian composer Caterina Barbieri, Opal Tapes affiliate Gosheven, Tunisian producer Deena Abdelwahed and Salon Des Amateurs’ Vladimir Ivkovic. Furthermore, Berlin-based sound artist Jasss, Nene H and Naked have been confirmed for performances at Berlin’s CTM, which runs 26 January – 4 February.

The platform, supported by Creative Europe is aimed at supporting, promoting and exchanging innovative and aspiring musicians and interdisciplinary artists – has also been extended for an extra four years. Run by a union of 16 festivals, 48 artists are selected annually for a wide-ranging programme of performances, residencies, workshops and panels across events. The platform will include an equal amount of women and men on the programme, and its fourth year is due to begin in December 2017.
