The lineup has been announced for this year’s Field Day festival, following the news that the event will now take place at Brockwell Park in Brixton with the support of Lambeth Council.

The lineup is huge.

The first day of the festival is headlined by the iconic Erykah Badu, it’ll be your only chance to see Badu at a UK festival this summer. Also on the Friday, Jeff Mills and Tony Allen bring their collaborative show, there’s also Gilles Peterson, Jordan Rakei, NAO, Moses Boyd, Mafalda, Obongjayar, Sudan Archives and more.

Saturday’s lineup features another UK festival exclusive – this time it’s current Crack Magazine cover star Fever Ray. She’s joined by Earl Sweatshirt, Nils Frahm, Mount Kimbie, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Panda Bear, Thundercat, Princess Nokia, Daniel Avery, Helena Hauff, Thundercat and many more. There’s also a UK festival exclusive from legendary Japanese composer Cornelius.

The Barn, which launched at Field Day last year with a headline set from Aphex Twin will make a welcome return on the Saturday.

Speaking about the move to South London in a press release, the festival’s founder Tom Baker said, “Im excited about our move south to Brixton and having the historic Brockwell Park as our new home. As lots of Londoner’s know moving on can be a wrench but is also just a part of life in this amazing city, and we know there’s so much musical history to build on in our new place.”

Four Tet is playing live on the Saturday, and some eagle-eyed followers might have spotted the lineup in the below tweet which he posted yesterday.
