Stormzy wins British Male Solo Artist at 2018 Brit Awards

Stormzy has been announced as the winner of the British Male Solo Artist award.

He went up against Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher, Loyle Carner and Rag’n’Bone Man. At last year’s Brit Awards, he headed up the stage as Ed Sheeran’s surprise guest, for which he lent a verse to Sheeran’s hit Shape of You.

Last year, the grime MC experienced a breakthrough with the release of his acclaimed debut Gang Signs & Prayer. It saw the artist smash the record for first week streams on Spotify.

Accepting the award from Little Mix, Stormzy thanked his mum and God, saying, “Thank God, that’s the reason why I’m here to do what I do”. Replay the moment he won below.
