The Welsh capital’s biennial international arts festival will be held across various venues, from 7-17 June.
Previously, the arts event announced Patti Smith, Nadine Shah, activist Billy Bragg, Scottish folk artist Karine Polwart and singer-songwriter Laura Veirs for the line-up. Now, Festival of Voice has added Elvis Costello & The Imposters to the bookings, along with Angélique Kidjo, who’ll be performing a reinterpretation of the Talking Heads’ 1980 album Remain in Light.
The multi-arts programme will also showcase new work from National Theatre Wales and the Welsh National Opera, and a range of commissioned projects from the likes of Gwenno, Irish singer and actress Camille O’Sullivan, Welsh-born actress Carys Eleri and theatre collective Gagglebabble.
