Wolfgang Voigt’s GAS project is set to release Rausch on 18 May via Kompakt.
Rausch has been produced as a single composition, and it comes as the second release from the legendary ambient project in two years, following up from last year’s Narkopop. Being the project’s first release in 17 years, Narkopop marked the return of GAS in 2017.
The new album will be released in the format of a double LP and a CD or digital version. A world tour has also been confirmed, including a performance scheduled for Kiev’s Strichka Festival on 19 May. A live premiere, announced in December, will be held at Köln’s Philhormonie in Cologne (9 May).
