Open Ear Festival is set to stage its third edition at Sherkin Island, in Ireland, from 31 May to 3 June.
Newly announced for the line-up is Nurse with Wound’s Steven Stapleton, who’ll be bringing his Sleep Concert to the first night of the festival, following the opening concert with Roger Doyle, Áine O’Dwyer and Dreamcycles. As the only constant member of Nurse with Wound, the pioneering artist will recontextualise and reimagine the group’s back catalogue for a set that’ll run throughout the night, finishing at 9am (GMT) the next day.
Elsewhere on the programme, there’s The Cyclist, Whirling Hall of Knives, Lakker, Shane O’Meara and more.
