The Streets drop new track You Are Not the Voice in Your Head

Mike Skinner has shared another new track, ahead of his upcoming sold out European tour.

Entitled You Are Not the Voice in Your Head, the track follows his latest string of releases, including the loosies Boys Will Be Boys featuring Jaykae, If You Ever Need to Talk I’m Here, Burn Bridges and Sometimes I Hate My Friends More Than My Enemies.

Recently, Skinner revealed he’s got a film in the works and new music from The Streets will soundtrack the project. Entitled The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light, the film is about “a farce about guys and girls getting into trouble” in a club. Set in London, Skinner likened the project to Dawson’s Creek and described it as “a Streets musical”.

Last October, Skinner announced he would be bringing The Streets out of retirement for a UK and European tour. In March, The Streets reissued their first two albums – Original Pirate Material and A Grand Don’t Come for Free – on vinyl via Rhino Records.
